FOLOWING THE FIRST AMERICAN LARGE SCALE ANTRHOPOMETRIC SURVEY CONDUCTED BETWEEN 1939 AND 1940, O’BRIAN AND SHELDON PUBLISHED THE NECESSARY DATA FOR CONSTRUCTING A STANDARD SYSTEM OF MANNEQUINS.1 IT IS OUR UNDERSTANDING THAT DRESS FORMS 3 AND 4 ARE ROOTED FROM THAT DATA.
