To ensure that budget cuts do not continually impact the collection in the near or long term, the only solution is to have all three basic staffing positions endowed. The collections manager and the curator are at the heart of developing ways to use the collection and to develop research tools. With the elimination of basic staffing positions, the collection loses its potential to be one of the greatest collections for the public good.
